Special Points of Interest

Horn Head

Makes the Cliffs of Moher look mediocre. Simply put this is a stunning natural wonder, a 200ft cliff line decending into the deep blue below. The panoramic views you see here are unbelievable, from the rolling hills of Fanad through Sheep Haven bay taking in Dunfanaghy, Muckish and the Derryveagh mountains. Tramore beach sits below and you can see all the way past Magheraroarty to Cnoc Fola, out to sea sits the historic Toriagh island!

Ards Friary

A setting so wonderful you can’t be surprised to find a friary and spiritual retreat at it’s centre. Take your time when here, walk slowly amongst the ancient trees, take in the secret coves and revel in what the place has to offer… a sense of peace.

Glenveagh National Park

Picture perfect glen with a lovely 4k walk to the castle and grounds, whatever the weather you can enjoy Glenveagh national park. Make sure the camera is charged in case a golden eagle soars above or a deer or two cross your path. Be sure to sample the sausage rolls and a slice of home made lemon merengue pie; well deserved when you reach the castle cafe after a good hike. The gardens are an inspiration for those with green fingers, species of plant and tree which can only grow with pristine air and water quality, you might just feel yourself grow a little whilst there.
