It's a real privilege to have Duncan on board with Narosa. He has grown up in a fiercely competitive environment through school and sports in Northern Ireland and as a result excels in all he turns a hand to.

Junior Laser Sailing champion for Ireland was his focus through his teen years but a fully dedicated surfer he became on attending Edinburgh Uni. Duncan is constantly challenging himself and the environment he is in, at ease and most content in big surf he inspires those around him with awesome humility!

Since setting up Narosa Duncan has had great focus on quality of teaching and interaction with the customer. He has gained qualifications in Level 2 surf coaching with the BSA (British Surfing Association), as well as Level 1 and Level 2 Coaching qualifications with BASEY in snowboarding instruction.

Through teaching all summer Duncan took a real flare to lifeguarding and stressed the importance of the surf instructors ability to perform when coaching and especially in case of emergency. With very little training Duncan competed in the National UK Lifguarding Championships in Bournemouth and scooped team and 3 individual golds in the top events! This has set the benchmark for the Narosa school and Duncan is stoked to keep challenging our own methods and improving through shared knowledge.

Being relatively new to the snowboarding environment Duncan spent a couple of months this winter teaching in the alps. Quickly adapting to the snow from the surf was easy for Duncan. His coaching knowledge and appreciation of the importance of good equipment resulted in sponsorship with 'Amplid Snowboards' and winning a competition downhill jam!

Duncan is all about Narosa and doing all that can be done with customer stoke and finding happiness in whatever he's doing, if he's not in the shop...or teaching...he'll be at the house watching a chick flick!
