This is a position suited to someone who can handle multiple tasks at once, and has a personality that dazzles whilst doing it. You’ll have the skills to charm our customers and make them feel at home. You’ll be independent and be able to get the job done with maximum efficiency.

What you’ll be doing

The Role

 

  1. A blended role combining both the shop & cafe, you’ll report to the Magheraroarty Shop Manager, taking ownership of your assigned tasks. You’re part of the busy team in charge of surf school bookings, check ins, food & coffee service and everything retail.
  2. Be the first port of call for every customer who walks in the door. You’re warm, welcoming and always wearing a smile, developing relationships with our regulars.
  3. Have the visuals in check. The space looks immaculate at all times, so when customers walk in they’re blown away. We’re talking about everything from the daily cleaning of the shop, cafe and customer bathrooms, to hoodie folding and stock tidying. The details really matter.
  4. You’re a source of knowledge. You take the time to learn the products we sell including technical gear like wetsuits and surfboard accessories as well as our menus and coffee. You rep our apparel and are a keen advocate of the Narosa brand.
  5. You’ll know our surf lessons inside out and are handy at answering customer questions, advising them on what to book. You’ll also be a key part of check ins and will size up customers for wetsuits and work alongside the Surf Instructors to host them as they arrive.
  6. Have the non-negotiables nailed. Punctual, well presented, reliable and organised are all part of the tone that the Magheraroarty Shop & Cafe Crew sets.
